Arc Flash Evaluations
In this day and age worker safety is at the forefront of our client’s priorities. I3 Engineering is helping promote worker safety and compliance with OSHA regulations by assisting our customers with electrical arc flash hazard evaluation studies. I3 Engineering utilizes our SKM Power Tools software which incorporates the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (“IEEE”) 1584 arc flash methodology and the NFPA 70E personal protective equipment (PPE) recommendations. From the completed SKM Power Tools model, I3 Engineering will generate an Arc Flash Hazard Analysis report as well as arc flash labels for each of the electrical panels, breakers and transformers onsite. These labels detail the personal protective equipment required by maintenance and or operations personnel prior to opening the device cover.
